Come and join in!

Truro Cycling is a friendly club based in the beautiful Cathedral City of Truro.
We enjoy weekly rides each Sunday, which usually include a range of pace and distance to suit most cyclists. We know the best places to go and the nicest way to cycle there.

Our members enjoy a full range of ages and cycling experience, so you will be sure to find somebody with a similar ability to your own.

In addition, some of our members enjoy Time Trials, Audax rides, Virtual on-line rides or cycle-touring and would be happy to help you to develop your interests.

This website and our Facebook page provide news and resources for existing members, information for people interested in riding our events and a window on the club for anyone thinking of joining.

To take advantage of our free guest rides please make contact at admin@trurocycling.org. Guest riders should have sufficient riding experience to achieve 25 miles without difficulty. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, riders aged 12-16 should be accompanied by an Adult until they have demonstrated their ability to ride as part of a group and display road riding awareness.

    Hello

I have 2 boys aged 4 and 6 and am trying to find out if there are any classes we can take to get them more confident on their bikes? Currently one can cycle a little with stabilisers one can’t really at all……

    1. Have you tried these people? http://www.cycletrainingcornwall.co.uk/ We don’t have any direct experience of children’s classes.

Hi, I would like to ride with the club for a couple of weeks to try it out. If this is ok what time do you start your rides on sunday and where do you meet?

    1. You are very welcome to try out our rides. Please refer to the page on rides and events for destinations. We meet outside Wetherspoons on a Sunday, longer rides at 9 (not every week) weekly intermediate and easy rides start at 10.

  4. Hi I would like to join but I don’t think I’ll be very good at cycling fast

    1. Hello Josh. Our easy rides don’t go fast (average 8-10 mph). You’re very welcome to come and try one. Sundays 10 o’clock outside Wetherspoons on Lemon Quay.

  5. Hi I am interested in coming along this Sunday to try out the easy ride to begin with. I have just bought a bike and am very enthusiastic. From what I gather it is Weather spoons at 10 is that right?

    1. That’s right, Maria. We meet on Lemon Quay outside Wetherspoons at 10. See you there!
