Why can’t more weather forecasts be more accurate? Today at 8am, both BBC and Met Office had ‘heavy rain’ all morning. The other forecast I use (an app on my phone) had ‘light rain, 0.2 – 0.3mm’. I guess most riders use BBC or MetOffice so didn’t turn up. Well, they missed a nice ride ’cause it hardly rained at all.
So four of us went on a roundabout route via Probus, Grampound and Portholland, returning via King Harry. The newly-refurbished Ship Inn was pleasant and surprisingly un-busy (where had all the emmets gone?) but a tad pricey now (£6.95 for a cheese sandwich).
I hope I managed to show Chris and Cara (both newly moved to Truro) some nice bits of the area, and I think Ian found some new lanes as well. I hope the route wasn’t too hilly!
Riders: Chris, Cara, Ian, Leader: Chris F. – distance about 31 miles – weather cloudy but warm. A couple of short sprinklings of drizzle. Average speed 10mph.
